derek beaulieu is the author of chains (2008), fractal economies (2006) and with wax (2003) and co-author, with Gary Barwin, of frogments from the frag pool: haiku after basho (2005). His conceptual novel flatland: a romance of many dimensions was published in 2007. beaulieu is also co-editor, with angela rawlings & Jason Christie, of the best-selling anthology Shift & Switch: new Canadian poetry (2006). His artwork – which engages with textual production and readability – has been shown in group and solo exhibits internationally. Local Colour is his second novel is forthcoming from ntamo press (Finland).
